The son of a farmer, I grew up on a Galloway farm in South-West Scotland. I have many fond memories of my childhood and the great outdoors I used to explore with my four brothers and sisters.
One of my earliest memories is of my father and I repairing a gap in a drystone wall. I must have been only four or five years old and was possibly more of a hindrance than a help.
I created my first slate sculpture in October 2007 and by June 2008 had held my first exhibition. I have since exhibited many times and moved into other mediums including steel and glass.
I’m fortunate to have the chance to work in some beautiful places, both within the UK and overseas, and love the fact that my work evokes feeling and emotion.
The images on this site represent a sample of the sculptures I have produced. If you would like further information please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
I hope you enjoy my work.
