Don’t worry…..
With the warm weather we had in March followed by -3/-4c nights during April a lot of plants that had come into to leaf very quickly and early got nipped by the frost which turned the new shoots black. This affected things like Hydrangeas, Pieris, Magnolias, Buddleias etc, but by now they have started to produce new growth and recovering nicely, Pieris have another flush of red growth and the Hydrangeas have a new set of leaves, don’t worry about removing the frosted growth unless it is unsightly
